At least 43 people have been killed in a suicide bomb attack at a meeting of top clerics in Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul.
Wahid Majroh, health ministry spokesperson, confirmed the incident adding that about 83 others were wounded at the Uranus hall where the religious leaders had gathered to mark the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad.
The attack targeted at the Ulema Council gathering is one of the deadliest attacks in Kabul in recent months.
No group has claimed responsibility for the blast, but the Islamic State group has been behind most of the recent deadliest attacks in the country.
