At Least Four Killed In Chicago Hospital Shooting

A doctor, a newly graduated pharmacist and a police officer have been killed after a gunman opened fire at a hospital in Chicago.
The gunman was seen arguing with the doctor, Tamara O’Neal, who he had been in a relationship with, before shooting her and turning his gun on others.
The shootings began with a row in the Mercy Hospital car park between the gunman and Dr O’Neal at about 15:00 local time (21:00 GMT) on Monday.
Mercy Hospital has given the name of the pharmacist killed as Dayna Less, a 25-year-old graduate of Purdue University. Chicago Police also identified the deceased officer as Samuel Jimenez.
The shooter, Juan Lopez, also died in the attack although it is unclear whether he died from police gunfire or a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to CBS Chicago, Dr O’Neal had been engaged with the gunman and they were planning to marry on 27 October – but that date passed without a wedding.
President Donald Trump is yet to make any statement about the incident but Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois has sent condolence to the hospital and thanked law enforcement members for their response.
