SON launches scheme to eliminate substandard goods

Standards Organisation of Nigeria, SON, said it has drawn up strategies that would ensure sub-standard products are out of markets in the country.

The Organisation said doing so would enable consumers use products that meet necessary requirements.

Northwest Regional Coordinator of the Organisation, Adamu Abba said this during the distribution of Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme MANCAP Award in Kano State.

According to him, SON would prosecute defaulters.

Adamu Abba called for support on the fight against the influx of sub-standard products in the country.
Kano State Government pledged determination to support the Federal Government to attain the desired result.
