One person has died and 44 have been injured after a commuter train came off the tracks outside the Spanish city of Barcelona.
A spokeswoman for the train company Renfe said the accident was triggered by a landslide between the Catalan towns of Terrassa and Manresa just after 6 a.m. (0500 GMT).
The six-carriage train had over 100 passengers on board.
According to the Catalan civil protection, 41 of the passengers sustained light wounds while eighty-six passengers were unharmed.
Eleven ambulances have been dispatched to the site alongside firefighters to free passengers from the wreckage.
The north of Spain has suffered heavy rains causing flooding and landslides in the last few days.
In 2013, Spain suffered its worst train wreck for decades following the death of 79 people when a train travelling from Madrid to northwest Spain derailed.
