Unadu community in Igboeze South LGA of Enugu State has opened up on its case against Senator Ayogu Eze, the All Progressive Congress, APC, guber candidate in the state. The community had dragged Ayogu before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, claiming that funds meant for road project linking the community was diverted.
In a chat with journalists, Chief Harrison Ogara said the petition was in line with the community’s efforts to unravel the mystery surrounding the abandoned Umuida/Ogrute/Unadu/Akpanya/Odoru Road contract Number 6170.
He said the people of the area were worried about the Road contract which cuts across five communities awarded to PW Nig ltd worth N13 billion.
Already the EFCC has already visited the road for on-the-spot inspection and assessment of the road.
